Every month there are special services which follow the Tibetan lunar calendar. Tsok Food Offering services are held on the 10th, full moon, 25th and new moon days. These ritual services are for the purpose of accumulating the “two accumulations” of merit and wisdom and fulfill the commitments associated with Vajrayana empowerments. A ritual feast of food and drink are integrated into the service as sacred offerings along with prayer, meditation & mantra and offered to the Guru-Master and the Wisdom Beings. Tsok Offering Services regularly begin at 5:00 PM. Prayer service to the Wisdom Protector, Mahakala are performed on the 29th day of the Tibetan lunar calendar and begin at 4:00 PM. Fire Rituals (fire pujas) are performed at the Center throughout the year. VISITING LAMAS AND TEACHERS The Center invites and sponsors the teaching programs of visiting Lamas and teachers

Every year, before the Tibetan New Year (Losar) the Maui Dharma Center holds the Wisdom Dharma Protector Mahakala Retreat in three sessions a day for six or seven days. |
The Center also holds two annual Buddhist holidays at the Great Paia Lha Bab Peace Stupa. On these occasions the community is invited to gather at the Stupa for prayers. At these two events the Stupa is adorned with a “thousand lights” as an offering for world peace. |

On the full moon in the Tibetan fourth lunar month, the Center observes Buddha Shakyamuni's birth, death and pari-nirvana. This scared holiday is called Saga Dawa, and is recognized by Buddhist around the world even though dates for this annual celebration may differ according to different Buddhist traditions. |
In the Winter the spiritual holiday called Lha Bab Duchen, for which the Stupa is named, is observed also with a community prayer gathering around the Stupa. This important day is celebrated to honor one of the Twelve Deeds of the Buddha. This compassionate deed recognizes Buddha's return from the god realms after teaching his mother the path to enlightenment – |
